The Idaho Panhandle Resource Advisory Committee is accepting proposals for natural resource improvement projects to receive Title II funding through the Secure Rural Schools and Community Self Determination Act.
The deadline for submitting proposals is June 2.
The committee will allocate $442,499 of Title II funding to projects that invest in and create employment opportunities through improvement of existing infrastructure maintenance, implementation of stewardship objectives that enhance forest ecosystems and restoration and improvement of land health and water quality.
Projects should also be located on or near National Forest System lands in Shoshone, Kootenai, Benewah, Boundary or Bonner counties.
Proponents are encouraged to coordinate with their local Forest Service offices and staff prior to submitting a proposal.
