100 days until the North Idaho State Fair
The North Idaho State Fair is gearing up to celebrate “Keeping Tradition Alive” Aug. 15-24 at the Kootenai County Fairgrounds.
The award-winning North Idaho State Fair has showcased the community’s talents and traditions for over a century. Growing from a one-day event in 1922 to the largest fair in North Idaho and the third largest in the state, the fair continues to honor its agricultural roots while delivering a world-class experience.
The 2025 North Idaho State Fair is expected to be bigger and better than ever, according to a press release.
“Every year, we work to bring fresh entertainment while staying rooted in what our community loves most,” fair manager Alexcia Jordan said. “Whether it's the roar of the rodeo, the energy of a live concert or a walk through Farm Park, there's something magical about fair traditions — and this year is no exception.”
Headlining this year’s Party in the Dirt Concert Series are country superstars Midland and Josh Turner, who will light up the Findlay Arena.
The Gem State Stampede Rodeo will return for five days of Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association action, bringing top cowboys and cowgirls from across the country.
Fans of horsepower will enjoy truck pulls featuring miniature monster trucks and the fair’s popular Demolition Derby will offer another night of metal-crunching mayhem.
Ground attractions will include the Paul Bunyan Lumberjack Show, the Great American Speedway Crazy Animal Races and Petting Zoo, Tyzen — Master Hypnotist, the Magic of Louie Foxx and performances from the Throw Zone with Jeremiah Johnston.
Fairgoers can also enjoy free entertainment including Robocars, whimsical characters from Animal Cracker Conspiracy Stilt Walkers, live performances by Brady Goss and Legend of the Pioneers.
“For us, the fair is more than an event," Jordan said. "It’s about celebrating community, agriculture and the values that make North Idaho so special. We can’t wait to welcome everyone back for another unforgettable year.”
