Zags' Gregg named to Allstate and NACDA Good Works Team
NORTHBROOK, Ill. — Gonzaga's Ben Gregg was named to the inaugural Allstate and the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) Good Works Team for the winter.
The team recognizes 20 standout student-athletes across collegiate winter sports for their exceptional achievements in community service, athletics and academics. This marks the first expansion of the Good Works Team to include student-athletes from all collegiate sports and divisions.
The final team was voted on by the program’s esteemed Selection Committee from an impressive pool of nearly 200 nominees nationwide. These student-athletes represent nine winter sports and five collegiate divisions, demonstrating the far-reaching impact of student- athletes in their communities.
The inaugural 20-member team features student-athletes from all levels of collegiate competition, including junior/community college, NAIA and NCAA Divisions I, II and III. Honorees represent winter sports such as hockey, basketball, swimming & diving, gymnastics and track and field.
Gregg is an active volunteer in the community. He has raised more than $250,000 for Giving Back Spokane to provide food, clothing and housing for those in need. The senior partners with Family Promise of Spokane to furnish homes for struggling families, works with the Mullen Polk Foundation to take foster children shopping for school supplies and clothing and regularly visits the Salvation Army to assist with fundraising and community events.
Additionally, Gregg hosts free basketball camps for kids in his hometown, ensuring access to sports for underserved youth. On the court, he is a top rebounder in the West Coast Conference, ranks second in two-point field goal percentage and was named to the Gonzaga Dean's List.
