TOWN HALL: Every meeting will end up in chaos

| March 7, 2025 1:00 AM

In response to the outrage over someone interrupting a public meeting, being asked to stop, being asked to leave and then being removed, let’s take a look at the situation.

That person was there to disrupt the meeting. There are rules for every public meeting and that person purposely ignored those rules.

The newspaper printed an article citing free speech and siding with the person breaking the rules.

This person broke the rules, refused to stop, then refused to leave. So, what option do you think was available other than what was done?

If we allow anyone to disrupt a public meeting, nothing will ever get done. And if it takes calling security, then that has to be done.

If this behavior is allowed to go any further, every meeting will end up in chaos.

Women have equal rights and they will be treated equally. Break the rules and you will be treated as any man would be, including physically being removed.

The sheriff was not at fault, the security guards were not at fault, the only one responsible is the person breaking the rules.

Citizens should be given a specific amount of time to give their opinion and then sit down. If they don’t, they should be removed rather than allowed to interrupt the meeting.

If anyone wants civility then everyone has to follow the rules, EVERYONE!
