Follow My Lead Dance Studio celebrates opening of second location

Follow My Lead Dance Studio is celebrating the grand opening of its second location, Follow My Lead Studio 2, with an Argentine tango weekend featuring professional dancers and instructors Cesar Davalose and Roxana Marinoff from Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Now through Sunday, the studio is offering dancers of all levels opportunities to train with these internationally acclaimed artists.

Today's events will be held at Follow My Lead Studio 1, at 2775 N. Howard St., Coeur d'Alene, beginning at 7 p.m. while Saturday and Sunday's workshops will take place at the new studio at 221 E. Railroad Ave., Post Falls, at varying times. An elegant Milonga dance event will be held at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Jacklin Arts and Cultural Center, 405 N. William St., Post Falls.

Davalose and Marinoff have been dancing together since 2014, mesmerizing audiences and training dancers across the world. As native Argentine Tango professionals, their resumes include performances in world-class productions such as "Tango The Musical" and "Piazzolla Inmortal," in which they performed alongside Raul Lavie. They have also been featured in "Dancing with the Stars" and have choreographed for major Argentine productions, including Disney Argentina.

They have also taught workshops and performed in premier dance studios and festivals across the United States, including the Southeast Tango Festival, Pittsburgh Tango Fierro Marathon, Boston Tango Marathon and Montana Tango Festival 2024. They have brought their knowledge and passion for tango to dance schools and studios across South Carolina, Florida, New York, New Jersey, North Carolina and beyond.

With style rooted in traditional salon tango yet influenced by their backgrounds in rhythmic gymnastics, aerial silks, acrobatics, modern dance and ballroom­, Davalose and Marinoff offer transformative learning experiences for dancers of all levels.
