Fishing for fun in Rathdrum
About 200 people turned out to support the youth fishing derby on Saturday, June 14 at Rathdrum City Park.
With the creek stocked and ready to go thanks to Idaho Department of Fish and Game, Rathdrum recreation supervisor Cora Wilt said members of Idaho Fish and Game handed out fishing poles and helped young anglers with unhooking their prized catches.
“It was a beautiful day. There was no rain and there were a lot of smiling kiddos,” Wilt said.
