Memorial butterfly release Tuesday

The fourth annual Community Memorial Butterfly Release is scheduled 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Share Hope Memorial Garden, Eighth and Gilbert, in Coeur d'Alene.

The event is open to the public "as a chance to heal together and honor the memory of loved ones who are gone from our sight, but alive in our hearts," a press release said.

Locally raised painted lady butterflies will be released "to celebrate the continuing impact of lives well-lived and the love that transcends loss."

The memorial is put on by Auburn Crest Hospice, Northwest Infant Survival and SIDS Alliance and the University of Idaho College of Agricultural and Life Sciences.
