| June 15, 2025 1:00 AM

Volunteer spots are still open for Ironman 70.3 Coeur d'Alene on Sunday, June 22.

Roles include the bike and run aid stations, body marking, crowd control, finish line, paddleboards, kayaks and canoes during the swim, and one of the favorites, wetsuit peelers.

About 2,000 athletes are expected for the race that includes a 1.2-mile swim, 56-mile bike ride and 13.1-mile run.

The swim course starts at City Beach and heads about a half-mile out on Lake Coeur d'Alene, with the finish back at City Beach.

The bike course starts and finishes at City Park. Cyclists will go toward Higgens Point, with the bulk of the action south on U.S. 95.

The run course goes through the Sanders Beach neighborhood and on the North Idaho Centennial Trail.
