REGAN: Show him at the ballot box
How low is a snake’s belly? I think we all just saw the metric by reading the great column by Mary Souza (Coeur d’Alene Press June 6) as she described the actions of Chairman Brent Regan and the majority of the KCRCC.
Mary informed us that Regan, and his band of sycophants removed duly elected Kathleen Tilman as a precinct member for missing 4 meetings. No matter to him that her husband recently died of cancer and she is attempting to gain any sense of life in moving on without him. Grieving and living out a husband’s bucket list is not allowed by the Reaganite’s of the KCRCC! Unless of course you are a loyalist to Regan. But Kathleen is not. She is a North Idaho Republican and was elected by the people in her district to be an independent thinker, and their voice for the local Republican party.
Are we sick of this nonsense yet? Many people complain about Regan’s vitriol filled, fact lacking, columns that are in the Coeur d’Alene Press every week, and they want his standing column removed. I disagree with that sentiment. Silencing other opinions is a road that should not be traveled in a democracy. The Press is wise to embrace this principle. Instead let’s show him at the ballot box what we think of his disgraceful leadership. His intention is to infect the city of Coeur d’Alene with this type of nasty partisanship in the Coeur d’Alene City Council elections this fall. In November let’s strongly reject all KCRCC endorsed candidates for office and support decency and compassion for others.
