LEGION BASEBALL: Prairie 'A' wins one, loses one at showcase event
SPOKANE — The Prairie Cardinals ‘A’ beat the Stods Rough Riders 16U 15-7 and lost to the Northwest Bison 17U 16-3 on Saturday at the Whitworth Prospect Series.
Both games were at Spokane Falls Community College.
Against Stods of Bellevue, Wash., Alec Finn had a two-run single for Prairie (8-3) in a six-run fifth inning. Grady Stinson also drove in two runs for the Cardinals, and Timothy Howard went 2 for 2 with an RBI and four runs scored.
Isaiah Kearney and Gavin Wienker each scored three runs for Prairie.
Against the Bison of Spokane, Andrew Olson had a pair of hits, finishing the day 4 for 4 with an RBI and two runs scored.
Play at the showcase tournament concludes today, with matchups to be determined following Saturday’s play.
