COEUR d'ALENE — Lutherhaven Ministries at Camp Lutherhaven on Lake Coeur d’Alene is celebrating 80 years of outdoor ministry from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.
Since 1946, Camp Lutherhaven and Shoshone Mountain Retreat have welcomed generations into life-changing experiences of Christ-centered community in the heart of God’s creation, according to a press release.
From summer camps and school year retreats to family weekends and servant events, Lutherhaven has walked alongside campers, families, churches and communities in faith and fellowship, the release said.
Special to Sunday's anniversary event, Lutherhaven is launching a historical book, "More Than a Place: A History of Lutherhaven Ministries." Written by past executive director Bob Baker, the 218-page book features an animated history of Lutherhaven Ministries, as well as photos from the 1940s. Books will be available for $46 each.
Camp Lutherhaven (Lutherhaven Ministries) is at 3258 W. Lutherhaven Road.
