LEGION BASEBALL: Voorhees delivers walk-off win for Lums
COEUR d’ALENE — Tyler Voorhees doubled to score Kasen Noffke from second base with one out in the bottom of the seventh inning, lifting the Coeur d’Alene Lumbermen “AA” team past the Spokane Crew 18U on Thursday at Thorco Field.
Noffke singled with one out in the seventh, and moved up a bag when James Togiailua walked.
Coeur d’Alene (6-5) tied it at 3 in the sixth when Kyle Johnson led off with a single and Travis Usdrowski followed with a two-run homer.
The Crew scored all three of its runs in the top of the first, keyed by Elijah Williams’ two-run double.
The Lums return to action Monday at 6 p.m. at Thorco Field against the Expos Hughes 18U.
