'Day of Action' planned for Saturday

COEUR d'ALENE — A demonstration along U.S. 95 and Appleway Avenue is planned Saturday as part of a "National Day of Action" organized by the 50501 movement.

Demonstrators with signs and flags will gather from noon to 2 p.m. Similar demonstrations along U.S. 95 in recent months have attracted up to several hundred people.

"Citizens of North Idaho will take to the streets to protest against the growing fascist regime threatening our democracy, due process, our bodies, and our communities," a press release read.
