No injuries reported following weekend plane crash in Hayden

HAYDEN — No injuries were reported after a single-engine aircraft with three people onboard crashed just outside the Coeur d’Alene Airport on Sunday.

The crash was reported just after 10 a.m., according to a social media post from Coeur d’Alene Aviation and Maintenance. The plane and passengers were not affiliated with the flight school.

The plane went down near homes that are still under construction off East Lancaster Road, KHQ first reported.

All three passengers were able to safely exit the plane before it caught fire. Multiple area agencies, including Northern Lakes Fire District, responded to quickly bring the fire under control.

The cause of the crash is under investigation, and the make and model of the plane have not been confirmed.
