One injured in Tuesday morning crash in Hayden
HAYDEN — One person was injured in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday morning.
According to Idaho State Police, a 2022 Peterbilt log truck was northbound on U.S. 95 when it reportedly failed to stop at a red light at Hayden Avenue about 5 a.m. The logging truck, driven by a 78-year-old male from Deary, struck a northbound 2015 Ram 1500 pickup truck.
The Ram pickup was forced onto the northbound right shoulder of U.S. 95, while the logging truck came to rest on the left shoulder of the northbound lane.
The driver of the Ram pickup, a 64-year-old male from Hayden, was transported to a hospital via ground ambulance, while the logging truck driver was uninjured, the release said.
U.S. 95 is fully reopened at this time after being partially blocked for more than two hours.
The crash remains under investigation.
