RATHDRUM — One person is dead following an overnight single vehicle crash on SH-53.
According to Idaho State Police, a 1997 Ford Explorer driven by a single male occupant was traveling westbound on SH-53 near mile marker 5 at approximately 3 a.m. Saturday morning when it drifted off the right shoulder and crashed into a group of trees.
The driver was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene, ISP said. The male was the only occupant in the vehicle.
