ATHOL — An Athol man died in a crash on U.S. 95 early Saturday.

The Idaho State Police said that about 1:45 a.m., "a 1998 Jeep Cherokee driven by a 18-year-old male was traveling northbound on US-95 near milepost 448, failed to maintain their lane, ran off the roadway onto the northbound roadside, overcorrected, and overturned continuing to roll back onto the roadway coming to a final rest within the right northbound lane of travel."

The driver and sole occupant of the Jeep was wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash and died at the scene.

U.S. 95 was completely reopened about three hours after the crash.
