Road closures for powerline work to begin next week

KELLOGG — Avista will be closing the section of Highwater Gulch Road between Gold Run Road and Elizabeth Park in Kellogg for work on the following dates:

Monday, July 21, to Thursday, July 24

Monday, July 28, to Thursday, July 31

On each of these days, the road will be closed from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.

This closure is necessary as Avista crews work to convert overhead power lines to underground, according to a press release. 

These upgrades are part of ongoing efforts to enhance wildfire resilience, safety and infrastructure reliability in the area, the release said.
