LEGISLATURE: Stand up and exercise power

Where oh where have our senators and representatives gone? Please stand up and do your job. Once again, the president has lowered the tariffs after having raised them. Will someone please show him the Constitution which he swore he would uphold. The power to, and I quote from Article 1, Section 8, “The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defense and general Welfare of the United States; but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States; … To regulate Commerce with foreign Nations, and among the several States, and with the Indian Tribes;” belongs to the Legislative branch of the government and not to the president. Our country is losing its reputation with the world as well as playing havoc with our economy. Come on senators and representatives, stand up and exercise the power given to you by the Constitution or are we just throwing the Constitution out the window and establishing a dictatorship?
