3rd Avenue Marketplace plans summer fundraisers

POST FALLS — The 3rd Avenue Marketplace is hosting two fundraisers for the nonprofit in July to help feed local families.

Anyone dining at the Coeur d'Alene Red Robin on Friday can donate a portion of their meal to the marketplace by telling their server they want to participate in the fundraiser.

The fundraiser will raise 20% out of participating diner bills toward families supported by the nonprofit.

The marketplace is also hosting a Christmas in July food drive Wednesday, July 16.

The most needed food items for the food drive are canned meats (chicken and tuna), canned fruit, chili, hardy soups, tomato sauce, crackers, ramen/noodle cups, cereal, condiments, cooking oils, canned beans, hygiene items (soap toilet paper, etc.).

Donations are being collected from noon to 6 p.m. at the Super 1 Foods at 805 E. Polston Ave., Post Falls.
