KOHBERGER: He will suffer in prison

| July 6, 2025 1:00 AM

In reference to the U of I stabbing (and plea deal). I can tell you, from personal experience, Kohberger will suffer much worse than death. If you don’t believe me, try locking yourself in your bathroom for 24 hours. If you can handle it. No phone, no anything but one book, toilet paper, tooth powder (baking soda) and water. You get a small window, much like those you find sometimes in shower stalls. It might sound easy, but I promise it is absolutely torture. That will be his day-to-day until he dies.

For whatever reason, he chose life. He chose wrong and very uninformed. He will be treated not hostile nor nice. Neutral. With total indifference. No human connection. Do you know the suicide rate of men in segregation? Up to 15%. A little under one in seven. Add in his obvious mental issues and it is a victory to the families. I am, at the same time, from my whole heart, sorry for your loss. I am happy for you even though the reason may not be clear. There is no better legal victory for capital murder in our country.
