Bonnie Lea Roth, 90

Bonnie passed away peacefully Jan. 31, 2025, surrounded by her family. Bonnie was born Sept. 9, 1934, in Littlefork, Minn., to Fred and Velma Shannon. 

At age 15, she moved with her parents to Twin Lakes, Idaho, where she met her future husband, Gus Roth. Bonnie and Gus had 61 joyous years together at their beloved Twin Lakes home, where many treasured memories were made, enjoying year-round lake activities with their extended family and friends. Bonnie and Gus also loved traveling and took many trips to Mexico, the South Pacific, Europe and several states.

Along with caring for her family, Bonnie loved golfing and painting and also enjoyed her job working as a librarian with the Rathdrum Library for many years.

Bonnie is survived by her children, Vicki (Jim) Skidmore, Debbie (Mike) Judd, Elaine (Todd) Younker, Lori Roth and Dan Roth; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Jack, her husband, Gus, and her grandson, Dustin Younker.

A joint celebration of her life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 12, 2025, at the family's home, located at 10170 W. Twin Lakes Road, Rathdrum, Idaho.
