Betty Jane Hendricks (Daily)

Betty was born at home to Wiley and Lena Daily on Feb. 17, 1931, in Leesburg, Texas. She arrived safely in Heaven on Jan. 19, 2025. Betty was greeted by those arriving before her: husband Melvin; sons Jerry and his wife, Wanda, Dell, Chuck and his son, Johnny. Betty is now spending time catching up with sisters Mary and Rebecca and her mama, Lena, and daddy Wiley. She is survived by her daughters, Marie, her husband, Frank, Cheryl, her former husband, Ray, and her son, Michael (Linda). Betty enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren: Jared, Justin, Ken (JaNae), Jessica, Brittney (Chris), Warren, Angela and Alyssa. She is survived by great-grandchildren Lennox, Eldon, Virginia, Shelby, Amy, David, Emily, Jaden and Hunter, and one great-great-granddaughter, Paisley. Betty loved staying in touch with her many nieces and nephews. Her memory never faded, and she rarely missed sending a card for birthdays or other special events!

Mom was a feisty, smart and independent woman. She worked for many years with the postal service. Her favorite part of the job was meeting and getting to know everyone in her area. Mom never met a stranger! She grew up very poor, working in the cotton fields in Texas. Mom pushed her children to do better and wanted only the best for them. She took joy and pride in every success her family achieved in life. Mom loved the Lord, and her Bible Study group was the highlight of her week. She will be greatly missed!

The funeral service will be Friday, Jan. 31, at 2 p.m. at Yates Funeral Home, Coeur d'Alene Chapel, 744 N. Fourth Street, Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Viewing will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Please join family and friends from 3:30 to 5 p.m. for a reception at the Church of Nazarene, 308 W. 12th Ave., Post Falls, Idaho.
