The Coeur d'Alene Kohl's store was not on a list of closures the retailer released Thursday.
The Boise Kohl's store, however, was one of 27 scheduled for closures by April, a press release said. The closures included one Kohl's in Oregon and 10 in California.
"While Kohl's continues to believe in the health and strength of its profitable store base, these specific locations were underperforming stores," the release said.
Associates were offered a severance package or the ability to apply to other open roles at Kohl's.
"We always take these decisions very seriously," said Tom Kingsbury, Kohl’s chief executive officer. "As we continue to build on our long-term growth strategy, it is important that we also take difficult but necessary actions to support the health and future of our business for our customers and our teams."
The Coeur d'Alene Kohl's opened about 15 years ago. Its discounts for store credit card holders and Kohl's Cash have been popular.
