Good Neighbor agreement

This marks the third GNA agreement in the Clearwater region, strengthening partnerships to restore wildlife habitat, improve forest management, and enhance recreation opportunities. Approximately $1.4 million in funding is tied to projects under this agreement, supporting initiatives that will benefit Idaho’s wildlife, public lands, and local communities.

“The Good Neighbor Authority continues to be a powerful tool for leveraging state and federal resources,” said Tara Ball, Regional Wildlife Biologist. “This agreement allows us to accelerate restoration work and deliver meaningful benefits for Idaho’s landscapes and the people who enjoy them.”

By aligning with the Fish and Game mission, the agreement ensures that projects not only improve forest conditions but also sustain healthy wildlife populations, protect critical habitats, and expand opportunities for hunting, fishing, and outdoor recreation.

Projects have already begun and will continue through the agreement period ending in 2035.
