BLM to watch eagles

The Bureau of Land Management is hosting the 35th annual Eagle Watch at the Mineral Ridge boat launch parking area on Lake Coeur d’Alene on Monday and Tuesday. 

Staff will be on site from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day, providing educational information and high-powered spotting scopes for the public to use.

Each week throughout the eagle migration season, BLM biologists conduct a weekly count of bald eagles along the east side of the lake. The Dec. 12 eagle count was 148. In comparison, the Dec. 12, 2024, eagle count was 284.
