CITYLINK: Is level of service worth the cost?

| December 17, 2025 1:00 AM

Do we need it?

One thing they never say is how many people use Citylink’s bus services weekly? I am not saying we don’t need to serve the elderly and people without a job, that is a separate question.

City transportation sounds fine, but I don’t think the casino is in the city. We use tax money to transport people to go to the casinos, who most likely gamble. In other words we support disadvantaged people to gamble money they obviously don’t have. Anything wrong with this picture?

Ever notice how big some of their buses are, why so big? I only see a few people riding on them, I could be wrong.

Would it be feasible to use vans in the city rather than gas/diesel guzzling buses? If we knew the figure of how many people actually use Citylink’s services in the city, possibly we could make better decisions.

Why not have the casino use their own buses and not city buses, after all they are the ones who reap the profits? Another question they never say is, how many people use Citylink’s service to gamble each week?

Maybe we could make better decisions on how we spend our tax money.
