Local players dot all-state high school volleyball teams

Coeur d’Alene High senior right-side hitter Gianna Callari was named to the 6A second team as the all-state high school volleyball teams were announced Monday. 

Coeur d’Alene senior outside hitter Kaylee Paulson earned honorable mention. 

Lakeland junior setter/right-side hitter Kindell Day was named to the 5A second team, and teammate Jaeli Hoffman, a freshman setter/right-side hitter, earned honorable mention. 

Timberlake sophomore outside hitter Addie Archer earned honorable mention in 4A. 

Three Kellogg players — senior middle blocker Dani Henrikson, freshman setter/middle blocker/right-side hitter Gretah Angle and junior outside hitter Paige Yrjana — were named to the 3A second team. 

Priest River senior Jayda Storro earned honorable mention. 

The all-state volleyball teams are chosen by the state’s coaches via a voting system put together by Brandon Walton of the Idaho State Journal newspaper in Pocatello.
