North Idaho College will host its inaugural NIC Color Fun Run on Saturday.
The 5K run goes through NIC’s Coeur d’Alene campus, where participants will be showered with colorful powder along the route. The powder is made of cornstarch and can be washed out.
Registration is open and same-day registration will be accepted. Registration is free for NIC students and individuals ages 18 and younger. For others, it's $20, which includes a T-shirt, bandanna and sunglasses while supplies last. An afterparty with a live DJ and food trucks will take place on site. Eligible participants will be entered into a drawing to win NIC scholarships.
The fun run begins at 1 p.m. It is not timed.
