Kristi Rietze joins St. Vincent's
St. Vincent de Paul North Idaho hired Kristi Rietze as the organization’s new director of community engagement. The fifth-generation Coeur d’Alene local brings experience in philanthropy, community development and youth and family advocacy.
“I’m grateful to join the St. Vincent de Paul team and carry forward an amazing 80-year legacy of caring for our neighbors," she said. "With Catholic roots and my family’s longtime support of St. Vinny’s, this feels like both a calling and a homecoming. I look forward to developing partnerships within our community to bring dignity, compassion and hope to those who need it most."
In her new role, Rietze will focus on external affairs, community partnerships, fundraising and marketing to expand St. Vincent de Paul North Idaho’s mission and impact.
"Kristi’s family legacy in North Idaho stretches back to the era when steamboats cruised Lake Coeur d’Alene her great-great-grandfather once at the helm," according to a press release. "That spirit of connection and dedication to the community has guided her life and career, inspiring decades of service to children and families across the region."
Her work is grounded in ensuring families have access to the resources they need to lead healthy, hopeful lives.
“Kristi’s heart for people and her proven track record in community building make her a tremendous asset to our team,” said Scott Ferguson, CEO of St. Vincent de Paul North Idaho. “Her leadership will help deepen our impact, strengthen partnerships and expand our reach in the community.” Kristi studied Child Development at the University of Idaho before earning her degree in Child & Family Studies from Portland State University.
