JESUS: Choose Christ over any politician
It’s heartbreaking to watch our country repeat some of the darkest chapters in history — and even more heartbreaking to see people who profess the name of Christ cheer it on.
Donald Trump’s words and actions aren’t harmless politics; they are hurting real people. His dehumanizing language fuels fear, hatred and division. His threats to target and remove entire groups echo dangerous ideologies we swore as a nation never to embrace again. Cruelty is not strength, and yet many applaud it.
For those who claim to follow Christ, I have to ask: how do you reconcile His teachings with this? Jesus told us to love our neighbors, care for the stranger, and protect the vulnerable. He showed compassion to the outcast, not contempt. He warned us about wolves in sheep’s clothing — those who use faith to gain power while spreading injustice.
When we ignore the suffering of others because it aligns with our political agenda, we’re not following Jesus — we’re following power. And power without compassion corrupts.
If you believe in the Gospel, you cannot support policies that demean or discard human beings. Our faith should compel us to stand against injustice, no matter who commits it. Silence in the face of cruelty isn’t neutrality; it’s complicity.
For the sake of our neighbors, our country, and our Christian witness, we must choose love over fear, truth over lies, and Christ over any politician.
