HISTORY: A fascinating read
Your July 31 Coeur d’Alene Press article on the Immaculate Conception Church in Post Falls on their annual three-day Cataldo pilgrimage, a spiritual tradition of walking, prayer, confession and song was so interesting as they journeyed across the North Idaho wilderness, culminating at the Sacred Heart Mission of the Coeur d’Alene Tribe.
I am semi housebound from age, but real history is one of my main interests. Your Coeur d’Alene Press newspaper reminded me of some of mine. I picked up once again my copy of Father De Smet’s, “The Apostle of The Rocky Mountains” 1801-1873 by TAN books with the imprimatur from John Cardinal Farley Archbishop of New York, New York, Nov. 18, 1915.
You will read the most fascinating story that makes our area so famous!
