Priest River man dies in Highway 41 crash
A Priest River man died in a crash Sunday afternoon on Highway 41, south of Spirit Lake, the Idaho State Police said.
ISP said the 21-year-old was northbound near milepost 18 when the Ford F250 he was driving crossed into the southbound lane and crashed into a black Ford F350 about 2:45 p.m.
The driver of the F250 was not wearing a seat belt and died at the scene, according to police.
The driver of the Ford F350, a 62-year-old man from Palm Harbor, Fla., was transported to the hospital via ambulance.
“Evidence was found on scene to indicate that alcohol may have been a factor,” ISP said in a news release.
The highway was blocked for about two and a half hours.
An investigation continues.
