CELEBRATIONS: Maintain Medicare, Social Security

We all have seen publications about our military having very significant celebrations on their founding days. Well, we had a big celebration on July 30 with Medicare celebrating 60 years since President Lyndon Johnson signed into law in Independence Missouri, where he presented the first two cards to Harry and Bess Truman. Then on Aug. 14 we have another big celebration it will be 90 years since President Franklin Roosevelt signed it into law the Social Security act.

Both of these acts benefit our senior citizens throughout our country. So, lets remind our federal legislatures and President Trump to fix and maintain it for future generations. And make them promise to do it not just say OK. If it is in writing it holds a lot more merit come election time, or when you ask them again about it.
