More administrative changes coming to Post Falls School District

| August 9, 2025 1:00 AM

POST FALLS — The Post Falls School District recently announced Superintendent Dena Naccarato will retire in 2026 and Anna Wilson, the previous assistant superintendent of elementary programs, has been promoted to deputy secretary and will serve as interim superintendent for the 2026-27 school year.

The district announced more administrative changes Monday.

Janelle Baillie has been hired as assistant superintendent for secondary programs. Baillie began her career in education in 2002 and returned to Idaho in 2005, when she joined the Post Falls School District as a middle school math teacher before moving into administration. She went on to serve as an elementary principal for 10 years and most recently held the position of assistant principal at Post Falls High School. In addition to building-level leadership, Baillie's experience includes 10 years each at the elementary and secondary levels as well as district-level initiatives; she served as the district’s Gifted and Talented coordinator, homeless liaison and foster care liaison.

“I’m excited for the opportunity to serve the students and staff of the Post Falls School District in this new role,” said Baillie. “I feel well-prepared to support our administrators, help advance the district’s mission and address the challenges facing education today.”

Scott Ross has been promoted from Ponderosa Elementary School principal to assistant superintendent for elementary programs. He spent the past nine years at Ponderosa. Prior to that, he worked in the Kellogg School District as a middle school teacher and principal for 12 years.

“During the early years of a child’s education, we’re not just laying academic foundations — we’re inspiring a love for learning that can last a lifetime,” Ross said. “As I step into this role, I look to carry on that passion for student success by supporting our elementary principals and teachers to the best of my ability. I love this district and am proud to continue its tradition of excellence.”

Mark Mason will return to Post Falls High School to take over for Chris Sensel, which The Press reported in February. A veteran educator with 19 years of experience — 17 in the Post Falls School District — Mason began his administrative career at Post Falls High as an assistant principal. He served as the principal of Post Falls Middle School for the past six years.

Tabitha Booth has been selected as principal of Post Falls Middle School. Booth has spent 20 years in education — 19 of them at Post Falls Middle. She began her career as a special education teacher and has served as assistant principal for the past nine years.

Trayce Hemenway has been appointed to serve as the principal of Mullan Trail Elementary School. She has been in education for 27 years and has worked as a special education teacher, instructional coach and middle school vice principal.

“I look forward to working closely with the Mullan Trail community to make this year one of growth, achievement and connection,” she said.

Sarah Triphahn will serve as the interim principal of Ponderosa Elementary for the 2025-26 school year. Her 13 years of experience include 10 years as an elementary teacher and three years as a principal assistant. Triphahn's connection to Ponderosa runs deep: Not only did she attend the school as a child, but her mother also taught there, making this appointment especially meaningful.
