Man gets prison for sexual abuse
A man who sexually abused a child will spend up to 20 years in prison.
Landyn L. Molyneaux, 18, pleaded guilty in May to sexual abuse of a child under the age of 16, a felony.
First District Judge Barry McHugh sentenced Molyneaux on Aug. 1 to 20 years in prison with parole eligibility after two years. McHugh also entered a no-contact order that prohibits Molyneaux from contacting the victim in the case for 20 years.
Prosecutors said Molyneaux sexually abused a 10-year-old child in November 2024. While the criminal case was ongoing, Molyneaux disclosed having “inappropriate sexual contact” with three other children who were under the age of 11, beginning when he was about 12 years old, according to the Kootenai County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
