COEUR d'ALENE — The Idaho Panhandle National Forests announced this week that a portion of Forest Development Road 1511, about nine miles north of Fernan Saddle, will be closed on weekdays through Oct. 18. The closure comes as work is being done to complete timber harvests on nearby Coeur d’Alene River Ranger District lands, according to an IPNF press release.

The closed road segments include the portion of Forest Development Road 1511 from the intersection with Forest Development Road 2377 to the intersection with Forest Development Road 1511D, and the portion of Forest Development Road 1511 from milepost 1.6 to 4.36.

The closure temporarily prohibits any travel on the road from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday until the closure is lifted. The complete closure order is available on the IPNF website.
