Musical improv returns Sept. 27 at Lake City Center
Levity Theatre will present "A Fully-Improvised Musical" at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27 at Lake City Center, 1916 N. Lakewood Drive, Coeur d'Alene.
In June, the local improv comedy group put on a series of four "Fully-Improvised Musicals" that were well received by audiences. Because of the popularity of these shows and the positive response, Levity decided to give fans another opportunity to experience the musical improv fun.
"A lot of people missed out on some great shows," Levity Theatre founder and improvisor Noah Johnson said in a Sept. 11 announcement. "Since June, we've been practicing and have only gotten better. This musical will happen once, for that audience, and never to be performed again. It's really something you need to see for yourself."
Everything is improvised — story, characters, songs and choreography. Nothing is pre-planned; all inspiration will be drawn from audience suggestion.
Tickets begin at $10 online and will include a $5 surcharge if purchased at the door. Admission for children 5 and younger is free.
