Rathdrum man injured in crash

GARWOOD - A Rathdrum man was injured in a single-vehicle crash early Sunday.

Richard Landsiedel was eastbound in a 1997 Toyota 4 Runner in the 4000 block of Garwood Road about 6:30 a.m. when he left the roadway and struck a power pole, according to a Kootenai County Sheriff's Office press release.

KCSO deputies and the Northern Lakes Fire District found Landsiedel unresponsive. He was transported to Kootenai Health where he was in stable, but critical condition, the release said.

An investigation continues, but intoxication and speed may have been factors, the release said.
