COEUR d’ALENE — As the countdown drops to under 100 days, this year's North Idaho State Fair promises an even larger array of attractions, events and entertainment.

The fair is set to open its gates Aug. 16-25. It is packed with traditional favorites and new additions.

Highlights include the high-flying antics of Extreme Dogs, the contortions of Sara Twister, a night of PRCA Rodeo action and the debut of the Western National Pulling Series, featuring competitive lawnmower races.

"Every year, we strive to elevate the experience at the North Idaho State Fair," said Alexcia Jordan, general manager and CEO at the North Idaho State Fair Board, in a press release. "With our expanded lineup, including an additional rodeo night and innovative attractions like lawnmower races, we are setting the stage for what's sure to be a memorable fair for all ages."

Visitors can look forward to enjoying competitive exhibits, food options, live music, shopping and a variety of other entertainment. Animal lovers will enjoy diverse livestock shows, Farm Park and a reptile exhibit.

There's still time to become a part of this year’s fair. Local businesses and community members are encouraged to check out vendor opportunities or enter into the competitive exhibits program.

"Whether you’re looking to showcase your products or talents, there’s truly something fun for everyone at the fair," the release said.
