Cynthia 'Cindy' Ann Blagg Wood, 69

| May 8, 2024 1:00 AM

Cindy passed from this life to Abundant Life on Saturday, April 27, 2024. Cindy was born May 31, 1954, to Arlene Agnes Blagg and Lee Blagg in Southern California. She had three brothers: Steve, Ronnie, who still resides in California, and David (who predeceased her).

Cindy met the love of her life, Jerry Wood, at church, singing in the choir, and they were wed Dec. 1, 1976. Jerry had two daughters, Cindy Canales and Brenda Salcido (predeceased), and a son Jerry, known as Butch. They also added another daughter, Amber Wood (predeceased). Many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and adopted families.

Growing up in Southern California during the "Jesus Revolution Era," Cindy gave her heart to the Lord and loved like never before. She loved God's Word and was excited to have her first Bible. If you knew Cindy, you would know she also loved the beach, all things Disney, bell bottoms, big hair (she was a hairstylist), reading and singing whenever the opportunity arose.

Although Cindy could not attend church in the last couple of years, she still stayed active, watching the church live feed, scheduling all special singing for services, making phone calls and being a mighty prayer warrior. Through her strong faith, she always maintained a cheerful attitude and a great sense of humor. Cindy spent her life on Earth preparing for Heaven and would probably sing us this one last song, which was written by Wayne Hagh and Joel Lindsey.

"Celebrate Me Home" Celebrate me home. Celebrate me there. Celebrate me in that land of wonder, where nothing can compare. Celebrate me in that place. Celebrate me saved by grace. Don't just sit and weep because I'm gone. Celebrate Me Home!
