Hayden Surgery Center opening in phases

The new Hayden Surgery Center at 8552 Government Way is opening in phases with comprehensive care including Orthopedic Urgent Care and Orthopedic Physical Therapy.

Built specifically for patients with mobility problems who need orthopedic outpatient surgery, it features the clinic, a physical therapy office and five operating rooms. The physician team includes Dr. Jeff Lyman, Dr. Adam Olscamp, Dr. Chris Arena, Dr. Lee Stowell and Dr. Darren Plummer.

Flo's Coffee opening soon

With a drive-through and a walk-up window for walkers and trail users, Flo's Coffee will open soon at 2691 W. Seltice Way.

Fiore Beauty & Wellness opens

With a full-service spa and yoga studio, Fiore Beauty & Wellness has opened in Suite 104 of the new Mill Building at 1705 N. Government Way.

The staff offers holistic massage, body and facial treatments, lash and brow services, special occasion and bridal makeup, waxing and classes in the heated yoga-pilates studio. Owner Cherith Brown is joined by Lauren Ashley, Taylor Jennae and Sierra Park. "Fiore" is Italian for "flower."

Memory Lane closes April 24

After several years in the Silver Lake Mall and before that in downtown Coeur d'Alene, Lynn Rinker is retiring and closing her Memory Lane store April 24.

She offers high-end vintage jewelry, rocks, gems and antiques and will also sell her showcases, curio cabinets and fixtures. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sundays (closed on Easter). Phone 208-777-5999.

• With the ground-breaking for new buildings for Grocery Outlet and 7-Eleven stores, North Point Plaza is being constructed in the northeast corner of Highway 41 and Poleline Avenue. Developer Jordan Wirsz of Corhaven Properties said more announcements for the 7-acre property will be coming soon. Five parcels remain in the development. • A food court project called Eats on Spokane Street is coming in April to property at the corner of Second Avenue and Spokane Street in Post Falls. Located next to Post Falls Brewing Co., it will open in the summer with a shed-roof pavilion with roll-up doors and restaurant tenants of Melfit Healthy Kitchen and Nachos Cantina, an indoor dining space and restrooms. • HeatPraxia, previously at 404 E. Sherman Ave., will be at 1080 E. Lakeshore Drive in September.

• Runge's Furniture at 303 E. Spokane St. is remodeling and will add Trader Joe's in about half the space.

• Takara Restaurant at 309 Lakeside is "Closed until further notice."

• A new larger building for The Oval Office is under construction on Spokane Street in Post Falls. It should be complete this summer with owner Raci Erdem, general contractor Rob Harsh and architect Mark Latham.

• A Marriott Hotel will be on about a half acre at 602 and 612 E. Sherman Ave. The six-story hotel will include 131 guest rooms, 130 parking stalls among the main level and three levels underground, an administration area, a bar, kitchen, lounge, dining area, meeting area, laundry, fitness room and a rooftop patio bar.

• A new facility for Peak Health and Wellness Center is under construction at 4425 N. Fennecus Road in Post Falls. It will move in August from 927 E. Polston (Suite 101). The new place will include eight indoor and eight outdoor pickleball courts, strength equipment, cardio and group fitness, a kids' club, juice bar, pro shop, full locker room.

• The Goodwill store on Fourth Street will reopen in the summer with a $3 million remodel.

• DOMA Coffee Roasting Company will open a cafe in the 3,000-square-foot main floor in the new building off the Centennial Trail at 3091 S. Atlas Road. It includes indoor and outdoor seating with views up and down the river, coffee, tea and local pastries and take-out food. • The Marcus Anderson building under construction at 8182 N. Wayne Drive in Hayden has commercial units to be occupied by Ascent Counseling and Marcus Anderson Family Foundation (now at 8382 N. • The Thomas George building under construction at Third Street and Front Avenue downtown will be 18 stories. It will comprise 60 condominiums on floors 4-18 with garages, an on-site concierge, a 24-hour gym, golf simulator, indoor-outdoor pool and a lake-view community terrace. • Meltz Extreme Grilled Cheese will have a new location at the Spokane International Airport.

The 9,600-square-foot place will be used for surgeries that don't require overnight stays and will have two outpatient surgery rooms with options for future expansion. It should open in early 2024. • With buildings of 168,000 and 238,000 square feet, The Pointe at Post Falls is at North Beck Road and Pointe Parkway.
