Enjoy food with flair at Care Affair

Delicious food, exciting auctions, support for local restaurant and hospitality workers — it's CDAIDE's Care Affair, and it will return to The Coeur d'Alene Resort for its sixth time at 5 p.m. April 11.
The evening will feature live music, a no-host bar, silent and live auctions, a paddle raise, appetizers by four featured local chefs and a buffet dinner created by Sysco’s top chefs.
Proceeds from the event will support CDAIDE, a local nonprofit that provides resources for local hospitality workers in times of financial crisis. This assistance comes in the form of housing, transportation, utilities and help with medical and dental bills.
"CDAIDE is so grateful for the enormous support received from the Coeur d'Alene community in donating some truly amazing items and experiences that will be on auction," CDAIDE Executive Director Jason Nye said in a news release.
"From international trips to delicious local dining events, there really will be something for everyone to get excited about at the Care Affair," he said.
More than 200 people attended last year's gala, proceeds from which helped more than 250 hospitality workers and their dependents through financial struggles in 2023.
