Avista to host PF Dam rehab open house Wednesday

POST FALLS — Avista will host an open house from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday to speak with the public about a multi-year project to rehabilitate the spillway for the Post Falls North Channel Dam.

The work, set to commence in April, will include rehabilitation of the dam’s concrete structure, replacement of its steel spillway gates and gate hoists and upgrades to the electrical and control systems.

Avista anticipates that Lake Coeur d’Alene water levels will not be impacted by this project. Construction will temporarily impact Falls Park.

The open house will be at the Post Falls Police Station Meeting Room, 1717 E. Polston Ave., Post Falls. Community members are invited to attend and share questions and concerns with Avista representatives.
