Beverly Ann Snider, 61

| March 22, 2024 1:00 AM

Our beloved Mom, Sister and Aunt went to be with Jesus and the love of her life, husband Jon, on Wednesday, March 13, 2024. Beverly was born April 18, 1962, to Gerald L. and Lois E. Riggs in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. She was the fifth child born to Jerry and Lois. She had six siblings: Dave, Renee, Richard, Karen, Jolee and Curtis.

Beverly attended Coeur d’Alene High School, where she met her high school sweetheart, Jon Snider. They married right out of high school Aug. 5, 1980, which was her mother’s birthday. She had an affinity with dates. Much to our amazement, she passed Wednesday the 13th and her husband had passed Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2021. She passed due to multiple health issues and also a broken heart as she never got over the grief of losing her husband.

Beverly’s late husband, Jon, played in a band all around Coeur d’Alene in the 1980s and he had the opportunity to play in Hawaii. Jon and Bev moved to Hawaii in 1984, where they ended up having their one and only child, Jonathon William, on Oct. 17 1984. He was the highlight of their life and she loved him with all her heart.

One of her favorite pastimes was reading — her favorite authors being Danielle Steele and Lavyrle Spencer. She also had a passion for watching Hallmark shows. Jon and Bev loved spending time camping up the St Joe and at local beaches. She had a special love for dogs, owning multiple Dachshunds over the years. She left behind her mixed spaniel, Cocoa.

Beverly was kind, compassionate and sensitive. She had an extremely close relationship with her two sisters, Jolee and Karen, while growing up. They would play dolls, pretending to be in church and beauty pageants. When her mom went back to work, she took on the role of caring for her little brother, Curtis. Bev worked at Taco John's for many years. The last job she held was watching children in her home, which was her calling. She babysat nephews, nieces and a grandniece, among many other children, over the years. She had an overwhelming love for children and them for her. Most importantly, when the opportunity presented itself, she helped care for two of her nieces, Kabrea and Melaine. During those years, they developed a very unique and special bond. Her devoted friends, Kim and Diane, were by her side throughout her life until the very end.

Beverly is survived by her son, Jonathon, sisters Renee, Karen (Kyle), Jolee (Jon) and brothers Richard and Curtis, sisters-in-law Judy, Paula and Marilyn, nieces and nephews Tony, Michaela, Michael, Cole, Sierra and several aunts, uncles, cousins, grandnieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jerry and Lois Riggs, mother and father-in-law Paul and Mary Snider, brother Dave, brother-in-law, Rick and nephew Andrew.

She will be missed by her family and friends.

No services will be provided at this time.
