Local Markets buildings to open next year

Two new buildings for the Local Markets company will open next year at the intersections of Best Avenue and 15th Street in Coeur d'Alene and Highway 41 and Hope Road in Post Falls. What they will offer will be similar to the existing Local Market at Atlas Road and Seltice Way.

The Markets will have an emphasis on produce, fresh flowers, coffee and products sourced from local vendors with fresh-made deli sandwiches and pastry bars and premium espresso coffees with drive-throughs.

Owned by Andy Singh, the stores are architecturally designed to fit the local landscapes and surrounding communities. They will include gas and electric car charging.  

T-Blue Men's store expands downtown

Offering a wide range of men's fashion of trending brands and style for guys of all ages, T-Blue Men's has expanded its store at 404 Sherman Ave.

North Idaho Pet Stop grand opening Monday

With anything to help with pets, North Idaho Pet Stop will celebrate its grand opening 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday at 6055 Government Way.

• Providing innovative emergency medical services and always open, Post Falls ER & Hospital will open in a new building at 497 S. Beck Road in July. Founded and operated by board-certified physicians and Nutex Health Inc., it will offer advanced clinical, pediatrics, imaging and laboratory service with 12 emergency department rooms and five inpatient suites with an onsite laboratory and radiologic suite with high-tech testing capabilities with MRIs, CT scans, X-rays and ultrasounds with same-day scheduling and quick results. • A new building at 4378 W. Selway Ave. in Riverbend Commerce Park will house Lightning Tool & Manufacturing and Dragon Jacket Insulation.

• A "coming soon" sign is at 1520 Government Way (at Hazel) for Madd Chicken.

• Indigo Urgent Care will be a new place beside Prairie Shopping Center.

• With 100% wood-fired, Neapolitan-inspired products, a Cascadia Pizza Co. opened last week in Rathdrum at 8083 W. Main St. (at the corner of Mill Avenue). It has indoor and outdoor seating and takeout. Check

• A new office building for J-U-B Engineers is planned for 1964 N. Nicholson Center St. on 2.33 acres in Post Falls. Completion should be in June 2025. Phone 208-376-7330. Check

• Heritage Health will be in a large building at 3700 W. Seltice Way.

• A new building with Riverstone Dental as the major tenant is under construction at Prairie Avenue (1701 W. Prairie) and Ramsey Road. It should open in May with Riverstone Dental in the main level and two large suites available. Riverstone Dental also has locations in Coeur d'Alene and Post Falls offering general dental care. • A Chipotle eatery is being built near Bruchi's on Highway 41.

• Watch for Upgrade Labs at 2050 Main St. in Riverstone.

• The complex being built across from Costco on Neider Avenue is for Habitat for Humanity.

• With a summer opening planned, four businesses will occupy the new building under construction at 264 S. Beck Road at State Line. With Garco Construction in charge, the places will be Wendy's, Joint Chiropractic, The Man Shop and possibly Capriotti's Sandwich Shop. Project manager is Michael Barr.

• A Fernan Farmers' Market will be noon to 4 p.m. Sundays May 5 to Sept. 29 at Lake Village Lodge at 320 E. Coeur d'Alene Lake Drive. 

• With the groundbreaking for new buildings for Grocery Outlet and 7-Eleven stores, North Point Plaza is being constructed in the northeast corner of Highway 41 and Poleline Avenue. • A food court project called Eats on Spokane Street is coming soon to property at the corner of Second Avenue and Spokane Street in Post Falls. Located next to Post Falls Brewing Co., it will open in the summer with a shed-roof pavilion with roll-up doors and restaurant tenants of Melfit Healthy Kitchen and Nachos Cantina, an indoor dining space and restrooms. It will host eight food trucks and offer live music, movie nights, cornhole tournaments, firepits and more. Check and check Instagram and Facebook.

• HeatPraxia, previously at 404 E. Sherman Ave., will be at 1080 E. Lakeshore Drive in September.

• Runge's Furniture at 303 E. Spokane St. is remodeling and will add Trader Joe's in about half the space.

• A new larger building for The Oval Office is under construction on Spokane Street in Post Falls. It should be complete this summer with owner Raci Erdem, general contractor Rob Harsh and architect Mark Latham.

• A proposed Marriott Hotel will be on about a half acre at 602 and 612 E. Sherman Ave. The six-story hotel would include 131 guest rooms, 130 parking stalls among the main level and three levels underground, an administration area, a bar, kitchen, lounge, dining area, meeting area, laundry, fitness room and a rooftop patio bar.

• A new facility for Peak Health and Wellness Center is under construction at 4425 N. Fennecus Road in Post Falls. It will move in August from 927 E. Polston (Suite 101). The new place will include eight indoor and eight outdoor pickleball courts, strength equipment, cardio and group fitness, a kids club, juice bar, pro shop and full locker room.

• The Goodwill store on Fourth Street will reopen in the summer with a $3 million remodel.

• DOMA Coffee Roasting Company will open a cafe in the 3,000-square-foot main floor in the new building off the Centennial Trail at 3091 S. Atlas Road. It includes indoor and outdoor seating with views up and down the river, coffee, tea and local pastries and takeout. Owners Muir and Julia Harrison will open with hours 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily. • The Marcus Anderson building under construction at 8182 N. Wayne Drive in Hayden has commercial units to be occupied by Ascent Counseling and Marcus Anderson Family Foundation (now at 8382 N. • The Thomas George building under construction at Third Street and Front Avenue downtown will be 18 stories. It will comprise 60 condominiums on floors 4-18 with garages, an on-site concierge, a 24-hour gym, golf simulator, indoor-outdoor pool and a lakeview community terrace. • The Appleway Quarter new building at 295 E. Appleway will have businesses on the ground floor and 24 apartments on the two floors above. Spaces are leased to 208 Massage & Spa and a tap house. • With many options for food and beverages in an elevated space and on a patio, Rooted Social House is planned for 310 N. Spokane St. in Post Falls.

• A four-story 151-room Hyatt Place Hotel is planned for the Millworx development on Fourth Avenue in Post Falls.  

• Mountain View Business Center's commercial leases for flex space in the new building at 9044 W. Prairie Ave. are all taken. More info later.

• Describing it as a "new product vendor mall," Marketplace@Miles is under construction in the southeast corner of Government Way and Miles Avenue in Hayden. • A new facility for Bolton Law is being built at 2317 N. Merritt Creek Loop just off Northwest Boulevard on the east end of Riverstone. Check            

• Suites are leased in a new building at 2420 Government Way. Ranging from 898 to 915 square feet, each unit is a shell with a fully finished bathroom with tenants finishing the balance of the space. 

• Selkirk Sport will relocate its pro shop from 12037 N. Tracey Road in Hayden to 7878 Government Way later this year.

• Huetter Business Park, which is three flex industrial and office buildings owned by Etco Services, will open on Huetter Road north of Interstate 90 and Seltice Way. • Many commercial construction projects are happening between State Line and Post Falls. To see more precise locations, check the website by Matt Behringer. • A new ambulatory surgery center is under construction by Northwest Specialty Hospital at 1624 E. Mullan Ave. directly east of its main campus at 1593 E. Polston Ave. in Post Falls. The 9,600-square-foot place will be used for surgeries that don't require overnight stays and will have two outpatient surgery rooms with options for future expansion. Phone 208-262-2300. • A Gates Dental building will be at 2208 N. Merritt Creek Road.

• The PACR office building is under construction at 1857 W. Hayden Ave. All four commercial units are leased.

• An automotive service center will be built at 185 W. Clayton Ave.

• A large Farwest Steel Corp. building is under construction at Pleasantview and Seltice Way.

• A new pizza place will be in the former Syringa building on Fourth Street.
