Fair foundation awards scholarships

COEUR d'ALENE — The North Idaho Fair and Rodeo Foundation recently awarded several scholarships during the Senior Award Ceremony.

This year's scholarships, awarded to 18 students from local schools, totaled over $20,000. Since its inception, the foundation has awarded more than $120,000 in scholarships.

"Aside from raising money for capital improvements for the Kootenai Fairgrounds, scholarships are a priority to us," said development director Serena Caples. "We believe that investing in the education of our young people is crucial for the future of our community."
