Hayden Triathlon on Saturday

COEUR d'ALENE — The Hayden Triathlon is set for 7 a.m. Saturday, starting and ending at Honeysuckle Beach. It includes a nearly half-mile swim, 12.4-mile bike ride and 3.1-mile run.

The Honeysuckle Beach and boat launch will be closed Friday from 10 p.m. through 11 a.m. Saturday for the race expected to attract more than 200 athletes. Only local resident access will be allowed. 

Hayden roads that could be impacted by the event include East Honeysuckle Avenue, East Hayden Avenue, Chalet Road, North Strahorn Road, East Smith Road and East Miles Avenue, as well as North Lakeview Drive in Hayden Lake. 

These roads will not be closed, but drivers may be rerouted or experience delays, a press release said.
