Idaho Commission on the Arts grant applications due Jan. 31

The grant application deadline to receive arts funding through the Idaho Commission on the Arts is quickly approaching.

Applications must be submitted by Jan. 31 for the following grant funding opportunities:

• Entry Track —Provides annual support for arts nonprofits and university-based arts organizations. A prerequisite for Public Programs in the Arts funding.

• Public Programs in the Arts — Provides annual support for established professional arts organizations.

• Arts Education Annual Projects — Supports activities that unite education and the arts and involve schools, artists and community organizations.

• Fellowships — Recognizes individual excellence in visual, performing, literary and folk arts. Eligible disciplines rotate every two years.

• Traditional Arts Apprenticeships — Supports folk art masters who pass knowledge and skills on to apprentices.

Grants are for artists, organizations and educators. During the last grant cycle of fiscal year 2024, the Idaho Commission on the Arts granted $726,000 to 85 organizations and schools in 26 communities throughout the state. Local grantees during that cycle include the Carrousel Players of the Coeur d’Alene Summer Theatre, $6,109; and Emerge CDA, $4,233.

The Idaho Commission on the Arts is a state agency dedicated to bringing the arts to all Idahoans.
