NIC MEN'S BASKETBALL: Cardinals close nonconference slate with romp

COEUR d’ALENE — Kyle Karstetter, a sophomore from Moses Lake, Wash., had 21 points, four rebounds, three assists and three steals for North Idaho College in a 112-86 win over Wenatchee Valley in a nonconference game at Rolly Williams Court on Wednesday.

NIC (12-4) opens play in the NJCAA Scenic West Athletic Conference for the first time at home next Wednesday against Snow College, the fifth ranked team in the NJCAA.

Jalen Skalskiy, a sophomore from Lakeland High, had 23 points and seven rebounds for NIC.

Michael Afrakoff scored 22 points for Wenatchee Valley (4-11).
